BioElliot Benyon joined the club from Oxford City in June 2022.
He has spent the last three years with Oxford City, reaching the playoffs last season where he started both of their games, scoring in one of them. Elliot will bring leadership skills to the changing room and on the pitch is a hard-working competitive player who will give us something different at the top end of the pitch.
Benyon began his career as a trainee at Bristol City and after loan spells at St Albans City and Crawley Town, signed for Torquay United where he made a substitute appearance at Wembley in their defeat to Ebbsfleet United in the 2008 FA Trophy Final.
He made a second Wembley appearance in the 2008/09 season when the Gulls beat Cambridge United 2-0 in the Conference National playoff final to regain a place back in the Football League. His 15 goals in all competitions helped Torquay survive a difficult first season back in League Two. He scored 14 goals by the middle of the 2010/11 season and in January 2011 joined League One Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.
Spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Southend United followed before he rejoined Torquay permanently in July 2013.
In January 2015 Benyon moved back into non-league football, joining Hayes & Yeading United on loan, signing permanently at end of the season. In the 2015/2016 season, Benyon was leading goalscorer and player of the year, despite his side suffering relegation.
Elliot has since played for Wealdstone, Whitehawk, Leatherhead and Oxford City.
