Jamie Molyneux's goal nine minutes from time confirmed all three points for Redditch United against Slough at Holloways Park, with the Rebels again guilty of giving an early goal away and missing good chances.
Just as they did at Bedworth, Slough got off to a sluggish start, but were hindered as early as the second minute with Nathan Webb forced off with an ankle injury. Jamie McClurg took his place from the bench.
Five minutes later, Slough were behind after a neat passage of play from the visitors. Jamey Osborne played a one-two and crossed into the six yard box, where striker Daniel Dubidat was able to side-foot into the roof of the net.
In response, Lewis Putman won a corner with a deflected strike, from which Gary MacDonald hit the top of the bar with a header.
Putman also clipped the top of the bar with a well-struck volley, whilst Guy Hollis put a header wide and Adam Martin saw a shot blocked in the penalty area.
The home side struggled to fashion another chance until the 64th minute, with Mpi laying the ball off to Warren Harris, who turned and shot, but only straight at Josh Veiga.
And on 81 minutes, Redditch doubled their lead with Slough guilty of poor defending once again. The visitors took a free kick quickly and caught Slough out, with Jamie Ashmore having plenty of time to walk the ball into the box and get in a shot which Mark Scott fumbled, with Molyneux snapping up the loose ball.
There was still time for Slough to recover, and Warren Harris came close to pulling one back after being played in by McClurg, but Veiga saved with his legs.
McClurg also saw a stinging volley blocked and Harris got another shot on target deep into stoppage time, but the luckless winger could only hook the ball straight at Veiga.
