A single goal from Lewis Driver was enough to seal a vital win for league leaders Burnham in the Easter Monday derby at The Gore.

The goal arrived on the hour mark, and was a rare moment of goalmouth action in an overall terrible spectacle, made difficult by a strong wind and bobbly pitch.

The game's first shot did not arrive until after half an hour, with Lewis Driver scuffing an effort wide.

Just before the half-time whistle, Dave Woozley put a shot wide from the edge of the box.

Slough's only real chance of note was put wide by Ryan O'Toole, his free kick from 20 yards out clipping the outside of a post.

With half an hour remaining, Driver showed quick feet to evade several challenges and shoot past Jamie Jackson at his near post after doing well to win the ball back. It looked as if a single goal would win this scrappy encounter, and indeed it was enough for Burnham to remain top.

Slough rallied somewhat in the closing stages, Adam Martin seeing a header at the back post fly all the way across goal, whilst Driver almost doubled his side's advantage but fired over from James Dobson's low cross.
