Slough Town ended their season with defeat at Hampton & Richmond Borough, despite having a single goal lead at half time and looking good for all three points.
In what was his last game for the Rebels, Sean Fraser captained the side as a mark of respect for his 10 years of service.
Lee Togwell and Aaron Kuhl had chances inside the first 15 minutes where both shot from outside the box, but Togwell’s effort was safely gathered by Alan Julian and Kuhl struck just wide of the post.
Hampton & Richmond then put their stamp on the game right after, with their skipper Tyrell Miller-Rodney getting a header in from close range from Ruaridh Donaldson’s cross, but he couldn’t quite find the right angle for the header.
A few more half chances came and went for Slough but they had their best chance of the game on 36 minutes, as Kurtis Cumberbatch tried his luck from 30 yards out. Julian pulled off a fantastic save with the ball looking destined for the top corner, but his fingertips meant it hit the crossbar before the Beavers’ defence got it away for a corner kick.
This corner, however resulted in Slough taking the lead, with the departing Fraser involved with an assist. Eitel Goueth cut the ball across, and Fraser lifted the ball into the six yard box where Ben Harris was on hand to head home and give Slough the lead at the interval.
Hampton had a sight of goal in the 64th minute, as Jonathan North saved from David Fisher.
Slough held their lead until the 67th minute, as Donaldson scored from the spot after Fraser had been penalised for a handball offence.
This goal changed the momentum of the game completely, and the hosts scored twice in the final 10 minutes to wrap up the win.
Donaldson scored his second of the game as he latched onto Fisher’s pass and fired low past North, before impact substitute Leo Hamblin rounded off the match with a goal from close range.
There was still time for Hampton to almost add a fourth as Brandon Barzey hit the crossbar deep into stoppage time.
