Slough fell to defeat at Communications Park as hosts Daventry Town bounced back to blow the Rebels away in the second half.
Two goals from Ashley Robinson and one from captain Kyle Cartwright condemned Slough to a sixth league defeat after Ryan O'Toole had given Slough a half-time lead and the Rebels had missed several good chances.
Daventry's Ryan Howell threatened early on as he cut in from the left and struck a shot which Jamie Jackson gathered. Six minutes in, O'Toole also saw a shot saved by Richard Morris.
Five minutes later, Slough took the lead as O'Toole this time ran on to Jake Parsons' through ball and slid the ball calmly past Morris to score his fifth goal in three games.
Slough began to dominate, but only a succession of brilliant saves from Morris prevented the away side taking a bigger lead into the interval. First, O'Toole got through again but narrowly failed to find Dan Burnell with a pass, when he surely would have scored. O'Toole later found Burnell, whose point-blank shot was blocked well by Morris, with Parsons putting the ball over the bar from the edge of the box.
Slough went close again as Ollie Burgess beat three men in midfield and found Parsons, whose cross was cleared from under his own crossbar by Cartwright.
Daventry manager Darran Foster's half time team talk clearly worked wonders for the 'Purple Army' as the home side emerged looking invigorated and determined, and soon began to put Slough under heavy pressure.
The start of the second half was end to end, and Ross Oulton shot wide from distance after robbing Adam Martin in possession. But the pressure eventually told with an equaliser on 69 minutes. Nat Liburd's pass from the right found Robinson in space, and he shot under Jackson's body.
Two quickly-taken goals put the game beyond Slough. First, on 75 minutes, Cartwright headed a cross past Jackson, and two minutes later, Slough were exposed again as Robinson headed in Jamie Gould's free kick.
With Daventry dictating the play, Slough grew frustrated and Adam Martin's yellow card was symptomatic, with emotions threatening to spill over and the home side perhaps fortunate not to be reduced to ten players as a number of heavy tackles came in. For Slough, first half misses proved costly and their promotion hopes took a dent ahead of a double header with Aylesbury.
