Following the heroics of the previous season, Slough's FA Cup run came to a prompt end as they were eliminated from the cup by Ridgeons Premier League side Wroxham.

The home side had slightly the better of the exchanges in the opening half, limiting Slough to a few long range efforts, whilst at the other end Justin Fox had a few attempts just off target from outside the box for the home side.

Ian Hodges was just unable to connect to Matt Seedel's headed pass when well placed in the area and Adrian Coote brought a fine save from Michael Parkin at the other end. Coote again went close when an interception was missed by the Slough defence and the Wroxham striker placed an effort low to Parkin's right, but it rolled the wrong side of the post.

Slough were creating half chances, but struggled to get their shots on target and the ones that did go on goal were tame efforts and comfortably collected by Robert Woodcock in the Wroxham goal.

The home side thought they'd opened the scoring before half time when Coote beat Steve Daly to an aerial ball but the referee deemed it a foul on the Slough defender and play was called back.

The second half had much the same pattern as the first. Both sides were creating chances but the home side were looking slightly the more dangerous of the two sides. Gary Gilmore twice went close, flashing one across the face of goal and another found Parkin in good form.

Hodges should have opened the scoring when put through but managed to find Woodcock from eight yards with a firmly hit shot.

The home side took the lead after sixty five minutes. A long, high, ball over the top was dropping into the area as Michael Parkin came out to collect on the left hand side of the box. As the ball bounced, it span backwards and Fox, who hadn't given up the chase, was able to hold off the keeper and turn it in over the covering Rebels defenders.

As Slough pushed numbers forward in the final minutes, the home side completed the win hitting the Rebels on the counter. Having won the ball back on the left, Wroxham worked the ball into the path of the unmarked Gavin Lemmon and he finished when faced with just Parkin.

Slough had one final chance for a consolation as Josh Millar was played through but as with Hodges earlier, hit his shot far too close to Woodcock when he perhaps should have done better.
