Slough's fixture congestion appears to be catching up with them as they struggled to put a Northwood side to the sword despite having had much of the play in this league encounter. This was Slough's fourth game inside a week and saw manager Eddie Denton making full use of his squad.
Parkin, Hodges, Wilkinson, Mason, Harris, Matt Murphy and Metcalfe all returned to the starting line up as Denton will be looking to keep his side as fresh as possible for the forthcoming League Cup final against Hampton later this week.
Slough had a good opportunity in the opening minutes when a ball in from Michael Murphy was mey by Glen Harris's run from deep, but he could only prod the ball over the bar from eight yards out.
Slough took the lead with fourteen minutes gone when the two Murphy's, Michael and Matt, combined with the latter heading home a corner. Murphy timed his run to the near post and converted from six yards.
Matt Murphy could have extended Slough's lead when receiving the ball when well placed just inside the area but his volley was well saved by the visiting keeper.
Slough had the opening chance of the second half with an hour gone. Matt Murphy sprayed the ball out to the right flank to find the run of Carbon. The wing back didn't have to break stride and delivered a first time cross to the back post where Mason was running in but the midfielder could not direct his header near the goal.
From the resulting goal kick, Northwood were back on level terms. Working the ball down the flank and crossing in for Kris Mchale to head home at the back post leaving Parkin with no chance.
With the Bryco Cup final later in the week and after Slough host Heybridge, Slough will be hoping for a return to form to halt four runs without a win.
