Tony Boot was the man who shone in this below par performance in the Rebels last home game of the season.
The striker hit two to take his tally this term into the 30's, but Slough generally struggled against a workmanlike Wembley outfit that featured former Rebel Deji Davies.
Sammy Winston was suspended so Ian Hodges deputised, and there was a return for long term injured Clement James.
There was no real creativity as both sides struggled to unlock the opposing defences, and the first real chance resulted in the opening goal after 18 minutes.
After Michael Gilkes was brought down, he quickly took the free kick as he spotted the run of Boot and the striker slotted the ball past Hamilton in the Wembley goal.
But it was Wembley who took the game to Slough and Schwarz twice went close.
Just before the half hour, Hodges was replaced by Byron Bubb. Just after the substitution, Slough had two great chances to move ahead.
First, a good flick from Ryan Spencer, now partnering Boot up front, was played into the path of Boot and Christian Metcalfe.
However, neither could control it ahead of the keeper. Minutes later an even better chance arrived as a fine ball from Gilkes was played into the path of the on-rushing Bubb. The midfielder tried to pass the ball around Hamilton and in, but somehow missed the target.
Not surprisingly Wembley hit back following a quick throw in and Ofori hoisted the ball into the box. With keeper Zepherin limping back, the ball sailed over everyone and into the net for Wembley to go in level at the break.
After the interval Slough replaced Craig Rocastle with Ryan Williams to try to bolster the midfield but still the performance left something to be desired.
Boot got his second of the match and what was to be the winner with 15 minutes left. A long ball out of defence by Steve Daly was knocked down by Spencer into the path of Boot who turned the Wembley defence and found the corner of the net from the edge of the area.
Another poor end of season effort from the players, with some exceptions including Tony Boot with his fine double.
