The Rebels moved smoothly through to the quarter finals of the Full Members Cup on Tuesday night when they beat a side who toiled valiantly for most of the second half with nothing to show for it.
Slough needed just five minutes to break the deadlock when a free-kick by Mickey Engwell fell at the feet of David Adekola, after a flick-on from Aaron Patton, and the striker put the ball away from close range.
Leatherhead, however, were not intimidated and put in some close efforts. But Slough took hold of the game and created many chances of their own.
It was an Engwell inswinging corner, again headed on by Patton for Bryan Hammatt to find the net from six yards.
Slough although sitting on their lead a bit, did lay siege to the Leatherhead goal.
On the hour, Hammatt gave way for Mark Richardson and then Dwight Marshall came on for Ben Strevens and Mark Hall replacing the impressive Patton.
Slough wrapped it up 15 minutes from time when Richardson picked up a long ball from Chris White, and the striker slipped and regained his balance before driving the ball high into the net off the bar.
Rebels could have made it four or five as Richardson continued to impress with his industry, winning everything in the air.
