In Tuesday's replay, the Rebels took control right from the off after striker McVie was hauled down inside the area. Defender Simon Line stepped up to take the kick and made no mistake, burying the ball unceremoniously past the hapless Geoff Smith in the home side's goal.
The Rebels extended their lead from a pinpoint free-kick by Mark Fiore. Deaner rose above the defence to powerfully head past Smith and open his Slough Town account.
The Rebels should have been three goals up just before half-time when Deaner struck again, only for his effort to be harshly ruled out for offside.
The second half saw the Rebels wind down and although a third goal would have eased the nerves, the Slough defence never looked like crumbling.
Fleet's finishing was poor and Slough keeper Paul Wilkerson had only one save to make in the second period. Mark Holzman enjoyed a good game for the Rebels as he kept Fleet's top striker quiet.
Slough now face Halstead Town in to next round.
