On Tuesday the Rebels faced the prospect of losing two games at home on the trot. And it almost happened as second placed Billericay took control of the game scoring three minutes after half-time.
Dean Parratt went on a 40-yard defence and cut through the Slough defence with ease as he coolly gave Billericay the lead. The visitors had enough chances to seal the victory and Chris Payne was guilty of the miss of the season when he placed his shot wide of the mark with an open goal to aim for.
And it cost Billericay dear as Slough pulled level with seconds left on the clock. Mark Fiore found space down the right and his deep left foot cross found the head of Richard Peirson who rose above the Billericay defence, giving the Rebels a vital point in the fourth minute of injury time.
