Another two hours of football between these two sides on Tuesday still failed to produce a winner, although Slough looked to have the better of the game and were denied a penalty appeal in the second half.
Cliff Hercules ended a week to remember by finishing the game wearing the captain's armband after Rob Smith came off on the hour mark — Hercules had scored Slough's first on Saturday and the previous Tuesday found the net while playing for an FA Select XI.
As on Saturday Slough started brightly against their lower league opponents, and took the lead in the 13th minute. Hercules had clashed with Dorchester keeper Ken Veysey as both men went up to meet Gary Blackford's cross. Mark Fiore guided the ball back in front of the unguarded net for Blackford to score.
Dorchester came back from the blow as they had done on Saturday with some fast running football. This time the defence coped well with the two front runners Owen Pickard and Tommy Killick, but the Magpies made better progress on the flanks with their exciting wingbacks.
It was a penalty, scored by Craig Taylor, that brought Dorchester back into the game just before half-time, but Slough almost hit straight back when Cliff Hercules turned and shot, sending his effort inches wide.
Slough had the better second half as Dorchester began to fade, but could not make their superiority count.
With Rob Smith's injury, Hercules moved back to the centre of defence with Abbott coming on to support Michael Murphy up front. Slough had claims for a penalty when a Dorchester defender appeared to use both hands on the ball being waved away, and a header from Blackford shaved the outside the post.
And Slough continued their dominance in extra-time the home side's only chance coming from two corners.
But a lack of bite upfront means a second replay Wexham Park is required on Monday with the winners through to face Salisbury on February 8.
