Slough Town kept their winning form at Redhill on Wednesday evening when they comfortably defeated the Surrey side by 3-1, a victory that keeps them in second place in the table a couple of points behind Dagenham who have played one more game.
The feature of Wednesday's match was the attacking power of the Rebels, centring around Swain, John Connell and Adams.
Micky Bell came into the Slough line-up in place of Roger Connell, while Mead did not make his debut as the transfer formalities from Walton and Hersham had not been completed.
Redhill looked good in the first ten minutes, but Slough gradually got on top and after Swain had put the ball in the net but had it disallowed for offside, the scoring account was opened after 36 minutes when D'Arcy and Connell helped the ball along to Swain who almost broke the back of the net with his shot.
In the second half Bell sent a long ball through to Adams who beat the goalkeeper for possession and finally got it into the net. In the 83rd minute Redhill broke away and reduced the lead but Slough came back with some brilliant football and two minutes from the end Adams put across a picture corner kick and Connell headed the ball home.
Another capital all-round performance by Slough with Reardon, Swain and Adams outstanding.
