Charlie Strutton

Bio

Charlie is a 26-year-old striker, who signed for the Rebels in October 2015 on a 28-day loan from Conference National side Braintree Town.

Strutton, who lives in Stoke Poges, came through the youth system at Chalfont St Peter and was moved up to the first team squad at the age of 17 in 2006, where he remained until 2012. In total, Strutton scored 242 goals in 204 appearances for Chalfont.

This grabbed the attention of many clubs, and he joined AFC Wimbledon in March 2012 in a short-term deal, before being immediately loaned out to Maidenhead United. He was rewarded with a permanent move to "The Dons" in August 2012.

Strutton had loan spells at Braintree Town - where he scored 20 goals in 18 games - and Aldershot Town. However, he suffered a fractured fibula and a slight displacement of the ankle joint during his Aldershot debut against Southport. Since then, he signed for Braintree Town and had short loan spells at Maidenhead United and Hayes & Yeading United at the start of the 2015/2016 season.

He joins the Rebels to cover for injuries and to gain some game time before rejoining Braintree.
