The Rebels stretched their unbeaten run in the league to five games on Saturday following this 1-1 draw with Bedfont Town.
A point apiece was probably a fair results on chances created in the game today at Holloways Park, but the timing of the Bedfont goal was a cruel blow to the Rebels.
Slough started the game at a ferocious pace and looked particularly dangerous down the right flank, occupied by Steve Sinclair. Danny Burnell and the rejuvenated Simon Martin were causing the Bedfont defence plenty of problems, and the visitors had their fair share of chances but were unable to convert any of them.
Slough eventually took the lead five minutes into the second half as Danny Burnell pounced on a shot from Simon Martin which had rebounded off the post.
Despite going down to ten men following the dismissal of Jon-Jo Bates for his second booking, Bedfont pressed for a goal, and went close as Wayne O'Sullivan strode forward and lashed a shot just wide from distance.
However, the away side were not to be denied an equaliser, and earnt themselves a point at the death. Substitute Carl McCluskey capitalised on an error from the Rebels keeper Jean-Zephirin, who made little contact on his attempted punch away, as Bedfont gained some revenge on Slough, who had snatched a stoppage-time winner at The Orchard back in mid-August.
