Slough's Boxing Day derby game saw them narrowly lose to an Ashford side who were just outside the relegation zone.
It was again another battling performance from the Rebels, but again they had little to show for it and another game where they failed to register a goal in a home match.
The first half was a relatively even affair with the visitors perhaps having the better of it, but when called upon Lee Farrow was not significantly tested making a few routine saves.
At the other end, Michael Perrineau-Daley went close with a shot from outside the box and Abby Nsubuga curling one wide of the far post were the best of the Rebels offerings.
The visitors did take an advantage into the second half though and it was with an element of fortune that they took the lead. Having given away a free kick on the left, Paul Johnson's deflected effort wrong footed Farrow and the visitors took a goal lead into the break.
Slough put in plenty of effort through into the second half, but with all the recent changes there is a lack of fluidity to their play and understanding and as a result they struggled to pose a threat to the Ashford goal and get a way back into the game.
The only goal of the second half came with twenty minutes remaining as Jason Chewins headed in Ricky Wellards cross from the right.
