A nail biting game ended in a super win for Slough over Berkhamsted Town. Berkhamsted went two nil up soon after half time but goals from Gyoury, Williams and Bubb secured the three crucial points for Slough.
Slough started the most positive, and early efforts from Ryan Williams and Slough's debutant Deji Davies both went just wide of the Berko goal. An Excellent effort run and cross from Tony Boot minutes later saw Davies second chance of the game but got tangled in his feet and Berko defender Peter Clifford managed to clear from danger.
Paul Barrowcliff was booked early on in the proceedings, resulting in a super effort from the free kick just gliding over the bar. Slough continued to dominate and another great chance from Tony Boot was deflected to Darron Wilkinson who's cross found Ryan Spencer's head perfectly but his headed effort was just wide of goal.
Slough's defence were caught napping and on the 23rd minute John Richardson's close range effort beat Gary McCann in the slough goal to put the visitors one- nil up. Berko had two more great chances soon after but both efforts by Gary Sippetts and Ben Smith were superbly saved by a stretched McCann.
Slough picked themselves up and a superb Dave Rainford run and cross met the head of Slough's other debutant Tony McNally's head but he could do no better than win a corner. Dave Rainford had two further efforts saved from long range by the Berko keeper Nick Webb.
Berko came steaming out after the break and a 46th minute long run and strike awarded Richardson's second of the game. Gary Sippetts had a great effort saved by McCann minutes later, this called for the Slough Changes. Sammy Winston and Dean Palmer replaced Tony Boot and Dave Rainford.
Berko continued to dominate proceedings up until the 67th minute when a Nick Gyoury shot was deflected off Andy Mullins and went into the net as Slough pulled one back.
With fifteen minutes left a great run from Slough skipper Paul Barrowcliff and an even better cross to Ryan Williams, resulted in a drilled shot to equalise, much to the relief of the Slough Fans. Slough started to dominate again and three minutes later Byron Bubb slipped the ball under Nick Webb as Slough took the lead 3-2.
Slough had the game wrapped up and a late effort from Luke Brockett was saved by McCann to confirm the much needed and much deserved three points for Slough.
