Saturday saw the Rebels debut of FA Premier League player Carlton Fairweather on a month's loan from Wimbledon as we entertained Kidderminster Harriers.

The match was played on a heavy pith with a swirling wind. Our visitors fielded five new players and both sides started well. Slough gradually got on top though and took the lead after twelve minutes when Briley's free-kick from forty yards out was met by Foran's header high into the top corner.

We went two-up two minutes later. Hazel's through ball to the left flank found Pluckrose who crossed into the visitors 18-yard area where McKinnon touched on for Sayer to slide the ball home at the far post.

We then proceeded to dominate with Hazel, Whitby and Fairweather all causing the Harriers defence problems. Fiore had a goal disallowed for a dubious offside decision. Kidderminster pulled one back just before the break when Deakin's right-wing cross was touched home by Gordon.

After the break the wind became stronger and Bunting produced some superb saves from Purdie and Gordon and had to be at his best to deny a 40-yard effort from Hopson.

However, Slough scored a decisive third after 63 minutes. Fiore's left wing cross fell Into the heart of the Harriers defence. The visitor's half-clearance fell to Hazel who thundered his 20-yard drive back into the bottom right-hand corner.

Kidderminster Harriers pushed forward as they tried to get back into the game, but we too had efforts to extend our lead with Fiore, Sayer and Stanley all going close.

The three points took Slough back up to second position in the Conference table.
