TERRY Reardon, Slough's star of a couple of seasons ago, was called out of retirement at Champion Hill on Saturday, and played his part well in helping the Rebels to secure their first away league point of the season at the expense of Dulwich Hamlet.
Slough are still on the last rung of the league ladder but the climb to safety must be achieved if Saturday's form is maintained. When the teams met at Wexham Park early in the season the result was also a 1-1 draw.
In addition to Reardon replacing Cooke, Charlie Marks came in for the injured Gane, while Peter Feely also failed a fitness test and John Beyer was given the substitutes shirt.
It was Slough who took the lead in the 22nd minute, rather against the run of play, when the referee awarded a penalty for pushing. Russell took the kick which Jarrett just managed to parry but the striker quickly pounced on the rebound to shoot home.
In the second half Dulwich pushed forward but almost had a shock when Slough came within inches of going further ahead.
Dulwich equalised in the 61st minute when Steve Rogers dropped a long cross into the goalmouth and Chris Lewington nipped in to head past Teale.
The home side dominated the last half hour but Richard Teale was equal to everything that Dulwich could throw at him.
