23 year old attacking midfielder Jack McKnight joined the Rebels in August 2020 after spending the previous 18 months with Eastleigh in the National League.Jack first came to the attention of Neil Baker and Jon Underwood a few seasons prior when he impressed at Arbour Park when playing for Basingstoke Town, scoring a great free kick that night, and his form that season earned him a move to Eastleigh.
Jack went on to make 34 starts in the National League which included an appearance in the National League playoff semi-final against Salford City, where he also scored in the penalty shoot-out.
He started out in Reading’s Academy before joining Basingstoke, where he gained a reputation for being a free-scoring midfielder, and won the club’s Player of the Month award twice in successive months.
