These clubs met for the third time on Wednesday, on neutral ground at Maidenhead.
The two previous matches at Reading and Slough respectively having resulted in drawn games.
The weather was fine, and a good match ensued. Twenty-two minutes after the start Anderson scored a fine goal for Reading, following some passing between himself and Brown.
Shortly before half-time Collins tripped Abrams within the twelve yards line, and Slough were awarded a penalty, but Abrams failed to score from it with Cannon saving.
Slough had the best of the play on the whole, but were very unlucky, and failing to net the ball. Reading won by one goal to love.
