Matt Jones's side continued the only unbeaten home record in the Ryman Premier with a 5-0 thrashing of bottom of the table side Slough at New Lodge on Saturday.
There was never any chance of an upset in this encounter. Slough, although having beaten Billericay at home earlier in the season for one of only five victories, have used nearly 50 players this term in their efforts to find a winning combination under three different managers.
But Division One football looms large for them and it was clear to all from the start that they had little to offer apart from some good vocal visiting support.
Destroyers in chief were Billericay's find of the season, Chris Whelpdale, who grabbed a hat-trick to take his goal tally from a wide midfield position into double figures, and substitute striker Joe Flack, who, after two weeks out following a hand operation, came off the bench to net a brace.
To be honest it could have been a cricket score. Although playing a part in a couple of the goals, Carl Dennison made four or five good saves.
Lee Hodges hit the woodwork and Billericay goalkeeper Ronnie Worster can hardly have experienced an easier afternoon.
Town were without their first choice central defensive pairing of Steven Heffer and Darren Blewitt - both suspended as they will be for tomorrow's Walton game.
But Rob Swaine stepped in to partner skipper Jamie Dormer at the heart of the rearguard and did everything expected of him.
Ex-Colchester and Grays left-sided midfielder David Wareham showed some neat touches when coming on as a substitute for his debut while, in that department, another arrival from the bench, Danny Hill has been showing some of the best form in his time at the club.
With Leon Hunter also excelling in the middle of the park this was nothing less than a stroll for Billericay and they can expect to find Walton a tougher nut to crack.
