Defeat against Walton made it back to back defeats, both by 3-1, following the poor Boxing Day loss against Windsor. Slough weren't much better for this one and their hosts fully deserved the three points on the day.
Ryan Williams returned to the squad following his release from Boreham Wood but the midfielder could not help the Rebels to any points on the night.
Following an uneventful first half, Slough were struggling to adapt to a physical approach being applied by Walton on the night and losing their focus on the match with their frustrations being let out at the refereeing decisions.
Walton took the lead through a strong challenge on the Slough defence and were allowed to continue play and run through to slot home past Foster. Slough questioned the decision but the goal, a very good finish at that, stood.
Walton extended their lead with two more goals as poor Slough defending allowed them easy finishes against Foster.
Slough did pull back a late consolation through Miller however. In the final minute of the match, Browne, on as a sub, saw his header bounce back off the crossbar and Miller ran in and headed home from a few yards out.
