This was a game that never lived up to the Wycombe game. Although Slough had much of the play, Witton tried to get into the game. Pluckrose was the first to try and break the deadlock but didn't really trouble the keeper. Seconds later Sayer put in a teasing ball which Fiore failed to put a foot on.
After 20 minutes Briley floated in a good free kick which was half cleared, Anderson picked it up and served a good ball which beat the keeper, McKinnon rose well to head into an empty net. After this Slough continued to have much of the play but could not capitalise on it.
In the second half it was Witton who bought the game to Slough. First was a shot which was wide of the post. Then a bad decisive decision by the referee, first indicating a free kick to Slough, as they lined up to take it an Albion player kicked the ball up field to find Rose who duly obliged by finding the net spoiling Trevor Bunting's 300th appearance for Slough much to the annoyance of all those connected with Slough Town Football Club. Thereafter the game settled into a steady affair without any real chances being created by either side. Although Slough came away with 1 point, 3 points would have been more justified as the match finished Witton Albion 1 Slough Town 1.
