Saturday's victory at fourth-placed Bromsgrove Rovers was another fine result for the Rebels, fielding a changed side through injuries and suspensions.
Slough dominated this match for lengthy periods and were finally rewarded mid-way through the second-half. Sayer pulled the ball back from the edge of the Rovers 18 yard box for Friel, who mishit his shot and saw it fall to McKinnon who tucked the ball home from the penalty spot.
The home side pushed forward towards the end and Bunting was called on to make a fine save to deny a Gray header. Slough had to endure an agonising three minutes of injury time, but reduced Wycombe's lead at the top of the table to just six points as the win was secured.
