The resilience of Dave Kemp's Slough Town was never better demonstrated than on Saturday as they put their FA Cup woe behind them and battled back from a goal down to defeat an impressive Macclesfield Town side away from home.
Steve Scott's 80th minute winner his first of the season may have been some what harsh on Macclesfield, but reward for Slough's grit and determination, invaluable on a day of persistent wind and rain.
After going behind to Mitchell's excellent 20th minute effort, Slough responded swiftly with Mark Fiore thumping in his first goal of the season after McKinnon caused problems for the home defence.
Slough were grateful for the outstanding performances from Foran and Anderson, while the returning Quamina could also be pleased with his contribution.
And following a period of Macclesfield pressure Slough broke, McKinnon crossed and Scott arrived with a superb diving header.
