The peace and quiet of Clarence Park was interrupted by a carnival atmosphere on Saturday, as the faithful Slough supporters celebrated the last away match of the season in style.
Amid streamers, foam and numerous weird and wonderful hats, they roared on the Rebels who for good measure kept the carnival going on the pitch, by hammering four goals past lacklustre St Albans.
It took only two minutes for Slough to score, Dodd just beating 'keeper Pearson to Adams' corner, to send it into the far corner of the net.
Slough 'keeper Lester badly hurt his foot after only five minutes and it looked touch and go if he would complete the game.
The visitors attacked with greater urgency, and after only seven minutes went two up when Adams released Stanley, who controlled the ball and placed it into Thompson's path to shoot home from twenty yards.
The game quietened for a while, until the thirty-third minute, when Lester was strangely penalised for winning the ball at Olivers feet, with Priddle stepping up to convert the spot kick.
Lester then did well to stop Gurney's effort, to preserve Slough's lead at half-time.
Nine minutes into the second half, Stanley rose superbly to power How's free kick into the back of the net, and all but seal the points.
Pearson saved well from Thompson after he had latched onto Priddle's mistake.
When Priddle's ball control soon let him down again, Thompson robbed him of the ball and beat two defenders before setting up Watt to crash home a thundering shot from the edge of the area, against his old club.
After sixty-eight minutes, Oliver was upended in the Slough area, but Lester superbly saved Priddle's second spot kick .
Greenaway was substituted for Thompson, and Waites, who was pushed up front nearly scored twice as a result, firstly lobbing the 'keeper, but his follow up header hit the bar, and then glancing Stanley's cross just wide.
As the St Albans players left the pitch after the final whistle, the Slough team gathered to applaud their supporters for the excellent away support they have given this season.
