These teams met on the Dolphin ground on Saturday, before a good attendance of spectators. In the first half, a rare tussle was seen, but the strong breeze which blew across the enclosure, was a great deterrent to accurate play.

Early in the game a pass by Wilson enabled Lunch to get in a splendid shot which Werrell just managed to tip over the bar directly after, from a run and centre by right, Wilmot had an opening, but he was robbed of the ball before he had time to shoot.

Slough pressed strongly for a few minutes, but Wade and Mignon gave a splendid defensive display. Then came a long spell of attacking by the Bush, Werrell saving grandly from Benton and Moir, and once Russell shot wide when right in front of goal.

Two free kicks were awarded to Slough, and from these young got into splendid drives. At the opposite end Werrell, with all the opposing forwards on top of him, got the ball away in a marvellous fashion.

13 minutes from the start, Slough opened the scoring. From a centre by right, Dawe got in a shot which the custodian saved, but Wilmot returned it into the net.

The game continued fast and centres by Cox and Wright were rushed away by the visitors backs who played a sterling game. Slough four two corners, and from the second of these, the leather went out to young, who banged in a low shot, which Lemoine saved by throwing himself on the ground amongst a crowd of players.

The Bush again had a spell of attacking, but owing to the exertions of J. Dennett and West, the forwards were not allowed to get really dangerous. The Slough defence prevailed two minutes from half-time, when Wilson received the ball and working his way through the centre, beat Werrell with a beautiful shot. At the interval the score was one all.

In the second half, the visitors had by far the best of the game. Shortly after the commencement of this half, and it's been a bad miss, which, however, was rectified by Young and West, and the leather got out of danger.

10 minutes later Wilson got a pass, and sent in a spanking shot. Werrell just touched it, could not get hold of the ball, which struck the upright, and twisted into the net, thus giving the Bush the lead.

Keeping up the pressure, two corners were awarded the visitors, the first being sent behind, and Birtchnell getting away the second. Once, during a rush, matters look bad for Slough, when Werrell left his charge and was flawed, but a freekick for foul tactics averted danger.

Another bit of luck for the homesters was when Bailey sent in a shot, which glided off Werrell's fist, and rolled just outside the post. After another unsuccessful corner Slough got down the field, but the incursion was only temporary character, and Werrell had to save from Lunch.

Dennett had a nasty blow on the shin, through coming into contact with Benton, and the game had to be stopped for a few minutes.

Just before the finish when the Bush was still attacking, a shot was sent in. Werrell caught the ball, and instead of clearing ran out to dodge a player. A tussle between the two ensued, and both came to the ground, where Werrell clung to the leather, and also got hold of his opponent. The result was that a penalty was awarded against him, from which Wilson put on a third goal, and the visitors won by three goals to one.
