Each club was at full strength. About 20 minutes after the start Rackstraw made the finest run and obtains the prettiest goal scored for the club this season. He threaded his way between many of his opponents from the halfway line and cleared a space and shot a capital goal, for which he was deservedly cheered.
Soon afterwards Gyngell added a second point, and at the interval the Norfolk's led by 2 to 0.
In the second half Rackstraw scored a third goal by a low shot, and this proved the full extent of the scoring, for although Corbett had several good openings muffed each, and the Norfolkians one by 3 to 0. The whole of the homesters played a fine, dashing game.
