Wealdstone were not strongly represented and consequently were no match for us in this game.
Brown gave us the lead from a Fisher corner, and Fussell quickly added the second.
Just before the interval hailstones and lightning joined in the game and from then on not such a good time was enjoyed by all.
An opponent put through his own goal during the second half, thus concluding the scoring. Both McCrohan and Clements hit the woodwork but the vile conditions held the upper hand. Every player in both teams deserved a medal for carrying on.
Our defence had a somewhat easy passage and our half backs dominated the proceedings. The experiment of changing Thomson and Williams has proved a success. The forwards were a strong, clever line, working well together, only bad luck robbed them of a packet of goals.
