A serious injury to Sid Spibey, 20 minutes from the start, greatly disorganised the side. Sid was taken to hospital with a fractured collarbone and we shall be without his services for a considerable period. The team played valiantly, thoroughly deserved their point, and with just a little luck in the closing stages might have snatched the spoils.
Fussell scored out goal and Tommy Jones stood out as the best player on the field.
Chief honours, however, go to our wonderful defence, where every man found that little extra that means so much when a team is up against it.
