Born 1940. A brave, bustling centre forward during the 1959/60 season who also briefly re-appeared during 1961/62, playing as a “secret weapon” in the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup semi-final defeat against Windsor and Eton.He later played for both Maidstone United and Tow Law Town, from whom he signed for Newcastle United in December 1965.
Never reaching Newcastle’s first team, he subsequently scored 40 goals in 129 appearances in a League career that took him to Watford, Newport County, Mansfield Town, Rochdale and Darlington and lasted until 1969.
