A very large number of enthusiasts lined the ropes of the Maidenhead Football Club last Saturday to witness the semi-final of the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup, between Reading Albion and Slough.
The Albions were strong favourites and the result clearly proved that no mistake had been made.
During the first half, Reading had the misfortune to lose one of their half backs (Allen), who injured his knee and had to be carried off the field.
Half time saw the Albions leading by two goals to one.
After change, Slough managed to equalise, but this was their last effort, and Reading, having matters pretty much their own way scored three more goals and won by five to two.
For the winners, Knight, Scarcebrook and Titcombe played well, while G. Palmer, C. Well and Piner did best for Slough.
Reading Albion will now play Wycombe Wanderers for the final tie.
