The Rebels lost the chance to go top of the Vauxhall Opel League Premier Division after going in front at the Huish on Wednesday night.
They had the opportunity to join Farnborough on top, but could hardly have wished for a harder match in which to try to do it.
For Yeovil, despite surprise defeats at Bromley and Basingstoke, certainly showed their fellow front runners that they still mean business. And it was due to the brilliance of 'keeper Trevor Bunting - and the woodwork- that the scoresheet was still blank at halftime.
The youngster foiled a fine effort from Phil Ferns and the beleaguered Slough defence watched Paul Randall hit both bar and post in the opening period.
At the other end, a Jeff Bateman header was cleared off the line, but the Slough side, without the unwell Jacobs and with Waites coming off injured after 25 minutes, struggled to find any rhythm.
In an enjoyable but hard fought tussle, Wilson had his name taken for clattering into Ferns before Slough took a shock lead on the hour.
Despite a hint of offside, Jimmy Brown strode through to shoot past Bob Iles for his sixth goal of the season.
The Somerset side didn't take long to equalise however, Gary Donnellan capitalising on a defensive error to lob over Bunting. Then, with 10 minutes left, Yeovil clinched the points they probably deserved as Tony Ricketts headed low into the net from a corner.
