For the fourth time within the week Wycombe Wanderers appeared before their supporters at Loakes Park on Saturday afternoon in the return League game with Slough.
In four days 40 goals had been scored at Loakes Park, and the sterling play of the Berks and Bucks Cup holders was reflected in the attendance, which was above the average. Wycombe had one change from their usual side, T. Gilson, the left back, standing down in favour of G. H. Holland, who was being given a trial in order to be ready for the Amateur Cup tie next week. Slough could only only claim three points out of eight matches, bat they were unlucky to be beaten by Wycombe at Slough on October 30th, when a penalty goal enabled the Wanderers to win by 3—2.
The result now was a win for the homesters by five goals to one.
