This holiday fixture, which was played at Balloon Meadow in boisterous weather, proved a great attraction on Easter Monday, over 1000 being present to witness the home club defeat Slough by four goals to nothing.

The ground was in splendid order, but the strong wind that was blowing spoilt accurate football. Windsor were minus Moore, Young and Shuttle, but C. Eaton, the late captain of the club, was again well in the forward ranks, playing at times an exceptionally good game. He was cordially welcomed by the crowd.

Bragg also played and was in his old form and scored the first goal of the day with a fine effort. The play, owing to the wind, was practically all in the one half, especially when Slough were defending. Windsor were the better team all round, and should have scored in the first half, Crocker experiencing some anxious moments from the home forwards.

Against the wind, Rogers, Holtum, Bragg, and Skinner defender finely, Rogers being especially prominent, and when Slough did get down they were always put off the ball when close enough to shoot. Half time arrived with the score sheet blank.

On changing over, Windsor soon appeared in the ascendancy, attacking the whole of the time the ball only passing over the half way line about a dozen times.

It was some time, however, before the home club found the goal, and that was by Bragg, who received from the right win and rushed the ball into the net.

Five minutes later, Skinner beat Crocker a second time with a terrific shot which the custodian never saw. Then for a time there was some erratic shooting, till Venner a long distance out, cleverly dropped the ball over the top of Crockers head a third time into the net.

To the finish the home club pressed but failed to utilise some good changes close to goal. Eight minutes to time, however, another goal came about and thus ended a satisfactory wind up of the holiday fixtures for Windsor and Eton by four goals to none.
