League
The Wanderers considerably strengthened their position in the League as the result of a visit from Slough on Saturday.
The Wanderers were much the better side, and this was soon shown, as Langley scored with a magnificent shot fifteen minutes from the start. This goal was supplemented by another point from Brion who put the finishing touch to some capital work by Gates.
At the interval, Wycombe led by two goals to love.
In the second half Wright decreased the lead with a good shot, resulting from one of the very few attacks Slough set up.
The Wanderers then pressed hard, and Hooper (who had been injured in the first half) scored a third point with a fine drive, while before the finish Winter found the net. At this point Slough were playing with ten men , Palmer having received injuries which necessitated him leaving the field.
