Ryan Case was appointed as First Team Coach in the summer of 2025.Ryan will work closely with Scott Davies and the first team management group, while continuing in his existing role as Head Coach of our Elite Development Squad (EDS).
Since joining the club in 2024, Ryan has made a notable impact within the academy structure. Under his guidance, several young players have progressed into first team contention, and his dual role will help further strengthen the vital pathway between the EDS and senior squad.
A versatile right-sided player during his playing days, Ryan began his professional career at AFC Bournemouth, signing his first contract in 2012. He went on to represent a number of clubs including Braintree Town, Basingstoke Town, Bath City, Dulwich Hamlet, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Metropolitan Police, Wealdstone and Chippenham Town. He also had a brief spell at Slough Town in 2015, making two appearances.
Ryan began coaching in 2015, leading Basingstoke Town’s full-time academy programme while continuing to play semi-professionally. He then spent four years at Aldershot Town, progressing from U16s Coach to Professional Development Phase Lead and U21s Lead Coach. He later joined Reading FC, working as U13s Lead Coach and Academy Coach, while also contributing to the Slough Town EDS setup.
Ryan’s experience and knowledge at both senior and youth levels will be a valuable asset as we prepare for the season ahead.
