Bio
Outside Right. Born Amersham 1937. The “Stanley Matthews” of post-war English amateur football.Immensely skilful, ball playing winger capable of mesmerising any full-back when on his game (except maybe John Ford). Made four “cameo” appearances for Slough after signing from Wycombe Wanderers, where he had achieved legendary status during a long career.
Made solitary Football League appearances for both Charlton Athletic and Tottenham Hotspur. Won seven England Amateur International Caps, one while with Tottenham.
After retirement Worley kept his football interest by turning out for his local club Chalfont. He is also a keen tennis player in the Bucks area. He became a property developer and owned a sports shop. Worley is a regular visitor to Adams Park home of Wycombe Wanderers.
