We are proud to announce the launch of a brand-new Walking Football session in partnership with Parkinson’s UK, starting on Monday 31 March.

This initiative, made possible through the Parkinson’s Physical Activity Grant, aims to support People with Parkinson’s by offering a fun, slow-paced football session that promotes physical wellbeing, social interaction, and exercise to help manage symptoms such as muscle fatigue and rigidity.

Parkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world, affecting around 153,000 people in the UK. It occurs when the brain stops producing enough dopamine, leading to difficulties with movement, balance, and coordination. Staying active is crucial for managing symptoms, and we’re excited to offer a free weekly session that provides both exercise and community support.

Session Details:
- Every Monday (except Bank Holidays)
- 12:30 – 1:30 PM
- Arbour Park Stadium
- FREE to attend!

While the session is focused on People with Parkinson’s, we also recognise the important role of carers, guardians, and families. To offer them a chance to relax, our REBELS bar will be open during the session.

We extend our thanks to Katy Slade, South East Area Development Manager, for her invaluable help in securing funding and connecting us with local support groups. This session is open to all ages and welcomes participants from both Slough and surrounding areas.
