We are proud to support lifelong Rebels fan David Allen in his fundraising efforts for the incredible charity Children with Cancer UK.

David will be running the London Marathon this April, and his family is raising funds by hosting a cake sale this Saturday at our home game against Maidstone United. The stall will be located near Turnstile 4, where supporters can purchase cakes and make donations.

David’s Story

Born and raised in Slough, David has been a passionate Slough Town FC supporter his entire life. As a child, he attended matches at the old Wexham Park Stadium with his father, Ian Allen – a fellow proud Rebel who volunteered in the club shop.

Now, David shares his love for the club with his own family, who are all Slough Town season ticket holders.

This year, David is taking on the London Marathon challenge in memory of his nephew, Jimmy, who tragically lost his life just before his fourth birthday after battling cancer for half of his young life. Having witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of childhood cancer, David is determined to raise vital funds for Children with Cancer UK.

About the Charity

Children with Cancer UK funds groundbreaking research to develop safer, kinder, and more effective cancer treatments with fewer toxic side effects. They also provide crucial support to families of children battling cancer.

100% of the money donated will go directly to the charity.

The cakes for the fundraiser have been generously made by the head baker at British Bakels—so be sure to stop by and grab a sweet treat while supporting an incredible cause!
