We are delighted to announce the signing of Australian-born defender Lewis Miccio following his release from St Albans City.

Lewis, 26, brings a wealth of experience and a proven winning mentality to Arbour Park. The versatile left-sided defender, who can play as a centre-back or left-back, has been a key figure in multiple promotion-winning campaigns during his career.

Born in Sydney, Miccio relocated to New Zealand with his family at the age of just three. He moved back to Australia when he was 16 and made a name for himself in the National Premier Leagues NSW with Manly United. Since arriving in England in 2019, he has gone on to play for several clubs, impressing at every step.

Lewis joined Kidderminster Harriers in February 2020 after a successful trial period before joining Solihull Moors.

In the 2022/23 season Lewis played a crucial role in Oxford City’s historic promotion to the National League, making 51 appearances and scoring a memorable goal against Worthing during the campaign. Lewis played every minute of City’s National League South play-off matches, including their victory against St Albans City in the Promotion Final.

He went on to make 13 appearances for Oxford City in the National League before signing for Braintree Town, where another promotion followed in 2023/24. He made 21 appearances, including a key role in the Essex side’s play-off success.

Lewis joined St Albans City last summer and continued to be a reliable presence in defence.

With two promotions in consecutive seasons under his belt, Lewis brings both experience and ambition to the Rebels as we aim to strengthen our squad for the challenges ahead. He is eligible to play in tonight's National League South match against Weston-super-Mare.

Welcome to Slough, Lewis!
