Join The Big Sleepout 2024 at Arbour Park – Make a Difference for Slough's Homeless!
Several years ago, Slough Town Football Club’s management and volunteers participated in a local event to raise awareness of homelessness by sleeping out overnight. This year, we’re proud to continue supporting this vital cause – and we’re going even bigger!
On Friday, 29th November, Arbour Park will host The Big Sleepout 2024, organized by SHOC (Slough Homeless Our Concern) . This incredible event highlights the growing struggles faced by Slough’s homeless community, with SHOC reporting rising numbers due to economic challenges.
What’s Happening This Year?
• Participants: Our very own Kay Lathey will join 10 players from the Slough Town Man v Fat team to brave the cold and sleep out.
• Celebrity Host: Taskmaster star Alex Horne will entertain attendees with fun and games inspired by the hit show.
• Entertainment & Activities: Before the sleepout, enjoy music, food vendors, and more.
Why Join the Big Sleepout?
This event aims to bring together over 200 participants to sleep overnight on the concrete concourse at Arbour Park – whatever the weather. It’s a powerful way to raise awareness and funds for SHOC, an organization dedicated to helping those most in need.
