Slough Town Football Club has partnered with the East Berkshire Football League (EBFL) to host a series of Showcase Matches at Arbour Park Stadium this season.
Through this new partnership, four Premier Division matches will be held at the home of The Rebels, beginning with a face-off between long-time rivals Chalvey Sports and Langley FC on Saturday 30th November.
The Showcase Match series offers EBFL players the unique chance to compete in a non-league stadium—often for the first time—and provides clubs with an opportunity to raise their profiles within the broader football community.
This season, the EBFL is proud to announce that all revenue from ticket sales will be donated to two chosen charities: Thames Hospice and Sport In Mind.
Robert Stevens, General Secretary of the EBFL, expressed his excitement: “We’re thrilled and extremely thankful to the team at Slough Town FC to have the chance to bring our Showcase Match events into the heart of Slough at Arbour Park.
“The stadium represents some of the best footballing facilities in our area, and so it will be a privilege for our teams and players to show off their talents and abilities at Arbour Park.
“The Showcase Match was an instant success when first introduced in 2022 and has gone from strength to strength with crowds into the hundreds coming out to support their local clubs as well as the local grassroots league.
“I thank you all for your continued support, and for your help in raising funds for two tremendous charities. Once again, a share of profits made from online ticket sales will be donated to both Thames Hospice and Sport In Mind at the end of the season.”
Ashley Smith, CEO of Slough Town FC, added: “I’m delighted Rob and his team have chosen to partner with us to host the EBFL showcase games at Arbour Park. This collaboration reinforces our commitment, since securing our 50-year lease, to connect with the broader community and make our stadium more accessible.
“As a football fan, I’m truly excited for these fixtures, which promise to bring thrilling entertainment for local fans.”
The Showcase series kicks off with Chalvey Sports vs. Langley FC on Saturday, 30th November at 7.30pm. Tickets start at just £7 for adults and £3 for concessions and under-18s. Click here to order your match day tickets now.
Two newly promoted teams, Sandhurst FC Royals and AFC Reading, both full of young and emerging talent and both off to impressive starts in the Premier Division, will resume the Showcase series after the Christmas break with a match on Friday 31st January.
Representing Slough’s Asian community, Frontline FC and FC Baylis United will face off in a high-stakes derby at Arbour Park on Friday 28th February.
The fourth and final Showcase Match of the series is scheduled for May 2025, with proceeds again supporting Thames Hospice and Sport In Mind.
