We are excited to be recruiting a Community Football Development Officer to lead and expand our community outreach programmes.
Job Title: Community Football Development Officer
Employer: Slough Town Football Club
Location: Arbour Park Stadium and various locations within the local community
Contract: Full-time
About the Role: Slough Town Football Club is seeking a passionate and motivated Football Community Development Officer to lead and expand our community outreach programmes.
This full-time role will be based at our home, Arbour Park Stadium, and involve working across the local community. You will have the opportunity to positively impact lives through football, engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds to promote physical activity, inclusivity, and well-being.
Our core values are: Sustainable, Talent, Fan Experience and Community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver community football programmes: Work with schools and other local organisations to create a wide range of football activities for different age groups and abilities.
• Promote social inclusion: Use football as a tool to engage underrepresented groups, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
• Partnership building: Develop relationships with our club partners, local stakeholders, including schools, charities, and local authorities, to enhance community involvement.
• Organize events and tournaments: Plan and execute community football events, tournaments, and outreach activities to increase engagement with Slough Town FC.
• Monitor and report on outcomes: Track participation and success of community programmes, reporting to the club on progress and areas for growth.
• Develop talent: To identify talent and create pathways to our Foundation Phase Academy squads.
• Fan experience: To develop match day activities and strategic ticketing initiatives to engage new visitors to Slough Town FC fixtures.
Key Skills & Requirements:
• Passion for football and community development.
• Experience in coaching or community outreach, particularly in schools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire people of all ages.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate (Essential)
• Other Sports Coaching Qualifications (Desirable)
• Full UK driving license and access to transport.
