Lexus Beeden
We are delighted to announce the signing of 24-year-old defender Lexus Beeden.
Standing at six foot three inches, Lexus began his career at Tooting & Mitcham United, where his standout performances caught the attention of Leeds United and Sunderland. He eventually moved to Reading in August 2019, joining their Under 23 side.
In October 2020, Lexus transferred to Welling United in the National League South, where he played until the season was curtailed in February 2021. He signed for Darlington in May 2021, earning high praise from manager Alun Armstrong, who highlighted Lexus’s aerial ability and defensive presence.
Lexus has also gained valuable experience with spells at Herne Bay, Sevenoaks Town, and most recently Carshalton Athletic, where he made an impressive 45 appearances and helped The Robins to a mid-table finish in the Isthmian League Premier last season.
Manager, Scott Davies commented: “Lexus is someone that I’ve known about for a few years now. He was first brought to my attention when playing for Sevenoaks after leaving Reading, and I’ve kept my eye on him ever since.
“He’s a big physical presence and will be a great addition in both boxes, but also has great technical ability on the ball too.
“Getting Lexus across the line was a real bonus having beaten off many other clubs in the league. He fits the profile perfectly for what we are building towards and we look forward to working with him.”
Lexus Beeden added: “I felt as if Slough was the right place for me to build on the season I’ve just had and showcase the gift God has given me.
