Slough Town Football Club has a thriving Community Team offering Pan Disability training and competitive matches for adults in both 7-a-side and 11-a-side formats.
The group has been running for approximately 10 years and has about 30 active members. The sessions promote fitness and physical and mental well-being through sport and provide social interaction and team spirit for adults who, for various reasons, feel unable to participate in mainstream football.
Due to changing personal and work commitments, both coaches are stepping aside this summer. Therefore, we are seeking one or two new coach/managers to work with the group. Training currently takes place fortnightly, with BOBi League (Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Inclusive) competitions held monthly and 11-a-side matches roughly once per month. Although the role is voluntary, it is rewarding and enjoyable, offering the opportunity to work within an existing team of assistants and with support, CPD, and backup from the Slough Town FC Community CIC.
The role requires a DBS check and relevant safeguarding qualifications, but coaching qualifications can be gained in post.
Please feel free to contact Kay Lathey at gensec@sloughtownfc.net for more information or to apply for the role.
