We are delighted to announce the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Dan Roth.

Dan attended our partner school, Cox Green and started his football career with Academy23 - now Slough Town’s EDS team - before moving to America to attend Mars Hill University in North Carolina. He captained the Mars Hill University team and made the Conference final and tournament in both years he was there. Whilst in America, Dan also played for a USL 2 team, West Chester United, and won the Werner Fricker Cup in 2022. After moving back home, Dan played for Binfield and then Beaconsfield Town last season.

Dan had the following to say: “Being a local lad and a part of A23 in 2020/21, it’s great to return to Arbour Park. Seeing what Scotty has done with this team is really exciting. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to take my game to the next level and I can’t wait to contribute to a great season ahead.”

Manager Scott Davies commented: “It’s great to have Dan back with us. He epitomises everything we want in a young player and has progressed really well in a short period of time. More importantly he was one of the A23 players that I really liked and thought could make the step up.

“It’s been three years since Dan left A23 and since then he has been to America and then more recently played for Beaconsfield Town at the back end of last season where he performed really well.

“Dan adds legs, energy and quality to our midfield and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
