I’m excited to showcase my talent in front of the fans and hopefully make next season a special one!
John Ufuah
We are delighted to announce the signing of 25-year-old winger John Ufuah.
John arrives at the club following a hugely successful season at Hastings United, where his 31 goal involvements in 2023/24 contributed to a 7th place finish in the Isthmian League, Premier Division and won him the East Sussex club’s Supporters’ Player of the Season and President’s Player of the Season awards.
Ufuah joined Hastings from Billericay Town - where he registered six goals in 41 appearances - last summer, and has previously played for Leatherhead, Whitstable Town, Margate, Carshalton Athletic, Merstham and Connah’s Quay Nomads (Wales).
John had the following to say upon signing for the Rebels: “The reason I chose Slough is I believe this is a step up for me to showcase my ability under a young manager who plays the brand of football that suits me.
“I’ve had friends play here before and they have only said good things. Also the way the club is run, especially at home last season shows me that the place can be a fortress and I’m excited to showcase my talent in front of the fans and hopefully make next season a special one!”
Manager Scott Davies added: “It’s great to get John’s signature after a successful season with Hastings. He brings everything we want in a wide man, power and pace.
“John is extremely close friends with Temi Eweka, who spoke highly of us and I’m delighted that he’s chosen to be part of our football club for the next chapter in his career.
“He is another exciting player who will get the fans on their feet and will add a new dimension to the side in attacking areas.”
