I’ve really enjoyed this season for many different reasons and I’m already looking forward to the next 18 months
Leon Chambers-Parillon
We are delighted to confirm that Leon Chambers-Parillon has committed to the club by signing a contract until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Leon joined the club last summer following an earlier loan spell from Oxford United which was prematurely ended by injury in April 2022. He has impressed in his 28 appearances so far this season, and scored the dramatic late winner which sealed all three points at Torquay United on Saturday.
He joins Dan Bayliss and David Ogbonna in committing to the Rebels for next season.
Manager, Scott Davies commented: “Once again, this is great news.
“Having played with Leon a few years ago when he came on loan to Biggleswade Town from Oxford United, I realised how good he could be and it’s brilliant to see that he’s starting to show it.
“There’s been no doubt in my mind that he has all the attributes to be a top player. This season has been one of learning for Leon, getting used to playing regularly, and although at times it’s been disrupted by injuries, I think overall he’s been excellent.
“For a player that was in and out of the team at Step 4 last year, he’s been a great addition for us and one that we are delighted to work with again next season.
“As a management team we see huge potential in Leon and we look forward to getting the best out of him over the next 18 months.”
Leon had the following to say after signing his contract:
“I've signed because I have high ambitions in football and I believe Slough is the best place for me to do that right now.
“Together we are all pulling in the same direction and when you add the positivity the staff and players bring regularly, it puts me in a position to thrive and I would like to see where that can take me in the years to come.
“I’ve really enjoyed this season for many different reasons and I’m already looking forward to the next 18 months. The management team have given me the belief and freedom to express myself and I feel as though that’s important for me as a young player.”
